involved it its organisation and its success ...the Boyle Rally Festival
Committee, Abbey College Transition Year and National School students in the
area, Co-ordinators, Rally Marshals, the Community of Boyle, Boyle Traders,
Advertisers, Local and National Media, Well-wishers, Parents, Children and the
huge number of people who turned up to witness the spectacle and got within a
couple of feet of the greatest Rally Drivers in the World ...despite the
incessant rain. Maybe it was of the "Soft Irish Drizzle" variety, but it was a
feature on the day.
• It was a
spectacular day here in Boyle on a grand scale. It firmly placed Boyle once more
in the headlines of national and international media, and for the very best
reasons.
• It was a day and an event
when we could ignore world strife and economy-related woes, a day when we could
be proud of Boyle and our small community, a day that gives hope for a better
year ahead in 2009.
• It was a day
that firmly declared "You can Make It Happen In Boyle"
